The short version
We collect as little as we can. If you send us a message, we use it to reply to you and nothing else. There are no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no mailing list. We do not sell or share what you send us.
Who we are
Blue Prysm is a business consultancy working at the intersection of telecommunications, AI and commercial strategy. For anything about this policy or the information we hold about you, write to hello@blueprysm.com.
What we collect and why
When you use the contact form
We ask for your name, your email address, your organisation (optional) and your message. All four are stored in this website’s own database and are used for one purpose: to read what you sent and reply to it.
A notification may also be emailed to us when a message arrives. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not pass your details to anyone else.
To stop the form being abused by automated submissions, we briefly keep a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself, for about a minute. It is not stored with your message and cannot be turned back into an address.
We keep enquiries for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case it resumes. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server records each request: the IP address it came from, the time, the page requested, and the browser’s user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure. They are not used to build any profile of you and are not combined with anything else.
Cookies
We set no advertising or analytics cookies. The site runs on WordPress, which sets cookies only if you log in or leave a comment, neither of which applies to ordinary visitors. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Other people’s services
Two third parties are involved in serving this site, and both are named here:
- Google Fonts. Our typefaces are loaded from
fonts.googleapis.com. That request tells Google your IP address and roughly what browser you are using. We are looking at serving the fonts ourselves so that this request stops happening. - Amazon Web Services. The site is hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Your data is therefore processed there.
We do not use Google Analytics or any equivalent, and there are no social media or advertising trackers on any page.
Our journal
The journal at /blog/ is part of this site and this policy covers it. It runs on the same installation, under the same terms as every other page here.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@blueprysm.com and we will deal with it promptly. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under data protection law, including the right to complain to a regulator.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. We will not quietly broaden what we do with your information.
